About The Clinician

Alexcia earned her undergraduate degree from SUNY College at Old Westbury and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Howard University, anticipated in 2025. She plans to continue her education at Liberty University to earn a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling, reflecting her commitment to ongoing learning and her passion for improving the mental health and well-being of others.

With over 11 years of experience in case management, Alexcia has worked extensively with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including mental health struggles, disabilities, and trauma. Her career has spanned diverse roles where she has supported individuals in achieving greater emotional and psychological well-being. Alexcia believes that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, is inherently valuable and deserving of compassion and support. Alexcia’s approach emphasizes meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to help them overcome life’s challenges.

Alexcia takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to therapy, believing that each person is shaped by their internal and external experiences. She focuses on empowering her clients to build upon their strengths and address areas of growth in a supportive and empathetic environment. Alexcia draws on mindfulness, emotional regulation, and solution-focused strategies to guide clients toward healing and lasting change. Alexcia sees every therapeutic journey as an opportunity for transformation, emphasizing that even small steps can create meaningful progress.

Alexcia aims to work with individuals from all walks of life. She feels well-equipped to work with individuals from underserved and marginalized communities, particularly those navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, or emotional distress. She sees mental health challenges as universal and believes that, while each person’s response to life events is unique, the need for understanding, care, and growth is shared by all. Alexcia is driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal and grow, and through therapy, she strives to help her clients create lasting and impactful change in their lives.
