Sara received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of El Salvador in 2014. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide, with an expected graduation in September 2025.

Sara brings seven years of experience in case management, specializing in working with families, couples, first-time parents, teens, school-aged children, and infants within the social services field. Her background includes working with non-profit organizations dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect and assisting immigrant minors reunifying with their families in the U.S.

Sara’s main areas of clinical focus are marital and family problems, parent-child relationships, and individual mental health concerns. She believes in creating an atmosphere where individuals and families can feel safe, comfortable, understood, and validated, especially when dealing with trauma and domestic violence. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing techniques from structural and strategic family therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and humanistic-existential models.

Sara’s ideal clients are couples, children, and teenagers. She is particularly equipped to handle marital and family conflicts, as well as parent-child relationship issues.
