Stephanie Birmingham, LGMFT

“When you can just authentically be in the presence of another person, free from the threat of shame and perfection, change is bound to happen. I’m here to help individuals, families, and those in relationships experience that freedom and empower them to cultivate a life they are proud to call their own.”

About The Clinician

Stephanie is a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist. She completed her internship and practicum at Washington Area Clinical Center, where she gained valuable practical experience and honed her skills as a clinician. Now an LGMFT at WACC, Stephanie continues to grow in her practice, focusing on early intervention and prevention.

Stephanie is deeply committed to helping families and individuals actualize their potential and create fulfilling relationships. She believes in the transformative power of therapy to address issues early on, empowering clients to make positive changes and develop the skills necessary to thrive.

Stephanie’s approach to therapy is guided by three core principles. First, she understands that all behavior can be viewed in the context of larger systems and dynamics, enabling more effective interventions. Second, she recognizes the impact of external factors, such as family, society, and generational patterns, on behavior. Finally, Stephanie fosters a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences without the damaging effects of shame.

Through her education, training, and principles, Stephanie is dedicated to supporting individuals and families in overcoming challenges, improving relationships, and building lives they genuinely enjoy.
